All the materials used are non-toxic and free from phthalates and heavy metals so you can be reassured that it is completely safe for your little one. We’ve had to wash it a couple times (due to some spectacular projectile vomits and poops!) and it’s been really quick and easy and back in action by bedtime the next night. The mattress ‘pad’ can come out easily as well, and get wiped clean/hand washed. It is also super easy to wash, which is a winner which any parenting product! The cover comes off really easily and can be machine washed. The Sleepyhead Deluxe cover is made from 100% cotton, and is completely breathable for your baby. The bumper means that they can’t roll out. First of all, in the sense that they feel secure whilst sleeping but also in a practical sense with the all round bumper. The Sleepyhead allowed me to do this safely because there was always a barrier between the two of us.Īnother great thing about the Sleepyhead Deluxe is that it provides security for your baby. Some nights I ended up having to try co sleeping with him (which I’m always super paranoid about) in order to try to settle him. L suffers from silent reflux and before we figured out that was the problem, we had a rough couple weeks trying to get him to sleep. Once we put the Sleepyhead in his moses basket, he started napping much better! For a couple weeks Baby L was sleeping in his Sleepyhead for bedtime but not for naps during the day.

We could have done with a Sleepyhead back then! When she was a newborn though, we needed to pad out her bedside crib with towels and blankets to make her feel like she was secure. She’s been a pretty great sleeper from about 4 months onwards. We’ve always been pretty lucky with our toddler’s sleep patterns. I had forgotten how much so until our second child came along! I had heard plenty of parents and friends raving about the Sleepyhead so when we got the chance review one, I was over the moon! The holy grail when it comes to parenting.
